My, oh my, what a crazy semester this is going to be! This semester consists of 4 grad classes (1 class a day for 2.5 hours): Augmentative and Alternative Communication, Aphasia and Neurological Disorders, Phonological Disorders, and Seminar in Clinical Methods; 6 hours of clinic, and 9 hours of work.
I did get my very first client and I start therapy next week. I am nervous, yet excited to get started. I also got my Skilled Nursing Facility assignment for my internship over the summer. I will be working 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. Excited to jump in, but not excited about not receiving a pay check for all that work. Boo for unpaid internships! haha It's all good, because I'll be receiving something that is worth more. Knowledge and experience. (bahaha) But no, really, I'm excited.
This is happening all so fast. Where did the time go? It was like just yesterday when I was declaring my major. Now I'm in my second semester of graduate school. Amazing.
